G I V E A W A Y ! !

it took me a bit longer than i had hoped to put this together, but here it is! the thank-you-for-being-awesome giveaway!
to celebrate the new year (and how great you all are!) i wanted to say thank you with a giveaway. i made eleven (because it's twenty-eleven) different zipper purses, which means there will be eleven different winners.

to enter, simply leave a comment on this post. tell me about one of your new year's resolutions, or your pet's name, or what you would like to see in the madebyhank shop this year. say whatever you want, so long as it is not mean. because, well, who wants to give a gift to a meanie? not me!

eleven winners will be selected at random. the first name chosen will receive zipper purse #1, the second will receive #2, and so on.

anyone and everyone is welcome to enter, the only requirements are that you are a human and that you provide a way for me to contact you in the event you should win. please leave your comments here before next friday january 21st 2011 at midnight EST.

winners will be announced on this blog monday january 24th. tell your friends! and good luck!

xo, hank.

My cats are called Kipper and Clyde. Bear with me if you already know this, but a kipper is a smoked herring, dyed orange. A kip is also a short nap, or in Scotland, your bed. Kipper is orange and loves to sleep. Clyde is named for the river that runs past my flat in Glasgow, in which Clyde has been known to paddle, looking for voles.

I'd love to see a bag called Clyde in 2011!

I'm a long time fan of your work, You are so awesomely talented. I hope you will someday make more tough ruffles purses with the shoulder strap fashioned from belts, like the one I have as I have many a friend who would like one similar to mine :) Also I love your stitchings and it would be a dream to have a purse decorated with one of your stitchings. In any case, what you already do is amazing and you are well deserving of your current popularity :)

New Year's Resolution? Hand written notes on birthdays to my true friends. The ones that make me smile when I think of them, need to know these things and why not tell them on their birthday how much they mean to me. I miss paper, pens, ink and the heart warming notion that someone will appreciate receiving actual snail mail.

Once upon a time when I still lived in Philadelphia, I purchased a sweet little bird pouch you made for Bambi Gallery . This pouch now carries all of my cards and must-haves; I've even showed it off at school as the art object I always carry!

Someday, I hope to buy one of your big purses. Even better, one of your embroideries. Until then - maybe my little bird will earn a sibling. Thank you for the wonderful work!
