new bag and new news
hi there! i was FINALLY able to add some new bags to the shop the other day. i haven't had much time in the studio these past two months, but now i am back in action, and will be updating the shop far more often. so many good things are happening lately. the stampler brothers have taken me under their wing and are teaching me how to make men's selvedge denim, which is very awesome. mike is the brother that does all of the sewing, and he truly is a denim wizard. i am learning his jedi denim tricks bit by bit, and am so proud to be a part of their tiny team. i think what they do and what they do is so cool, and love that they are right here in philadelphia. please take a moment to see what they're all about and tell all of your friends! you can find their site here and their shop here. right now, they only do men's pants, but they also make excellent leather goods that are great for the ladies. and their tshirts are discharged printed, so they are extra soft right away. also, many of you have inquired about custom orders. because i work mainly with vintage and repurposed fabrics, i often have only the smallest bits, and never know what i will find next. this can make custom requests rather tricky, but i try to say yes whenever i can. unfortunately the larger shoulder bags are the most difficult to fill special requests, but when it comes to smaller items and especially wallets and zip clutches, i am almost always able to accommodate. you can always email your requests (firstname.lastname@example.org), and we can go from there! i also finished up a new batch of leather foldover bags, and should have those in the shop either later today or sometime this weekend.
