hello again

oh, hey! i'm here. and i'm still alive. i apologize for falling off the face of the internet for the past few months. i had to take a little break, but i have new bags in the works and a few new projects up my sleeve. i just wanted to say a quick hello and make sure you haven't forgotten all about me. i have been scouring thrift shops for fabrics and belts to repurpose into new bags, and i'll be posting sneak peeks in the coming weeks while i work on inventory and re-working my shop a bit. i also started a madebyhank facebook page where i will be posting little updates and tidbits and photos throughout my workdays. you can find the new page here. more soon! xo, hank

so long, old apartment

i already kind of miss this place, but am also so excited to be settling into my new space.

things have been a bit crazy around here lately, but will be back to normal very soon. i am moving this week, and found these three bags that i finished a bit ago while i was organizing + packing my studio. just listed them in my big cartel shop! hope everyone had a happy halloween. i made a last minute wonder woman costume with the help of some spray paint, electrical tape + gold spandex remnants. it was kind of sad the next day to go back to being just katie after being a super hero for a night.

finally had the chance to finish some photos + add new items to the shop! three teeny cross-body purses with leather appliques, two shoulder bags, and a handful of OOAK zipper purses made from repurposed vintage handkerchiefs (or 'HANK-ies', as i like to call them!). take a look! xo, hank.

renegade craft fair chicago!

i took place in the renegade craft fair in chicago this past weekend, and had so much fun! it was pretty stressful leading up to the event, and it ended up taking us seventeen hours to get there (so many flooded highways in western PA), but i really had a great time. i made some new friends, ate some tasty treats, and learned a whole lot. i have done very few in-person events like this, so i still have quite a few kinks to work out, but i am newly excited about doing pop-up shops! and i was so psyched to share a booth with my pal melissa, of missmillie ceramics. i think our stuff goes great together, and we have great fun together. a good time had by all. thanks for being so damn fantastic, chicago! hope to see you again soon. xo, hank
